I hate memorizing formulas. So I don’t.

visualizing/making connections/seeing patterns (i used to hate algebra i… didn’t have the best experience and blamed it on the teacher… went to geometry (LOVED it) bc of conceptual and visual nature… applied same approach to algebra ii & loved it)

let’s go through some examples:

  • Pythagorean theorem in distance formula (who’d want to memorize d=√[(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²]??)

  • relationship between derivatives & integrals (accumulation) as explained by a slinky

  • surface area vs volume patterns
