Robert Ghrist
Professor Ghrist is the Andrea Mitchell PIK Professor of Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania whose research focuses on Applied Topology. When he is not in the classroom making math fun for his students, he is working outside the classroom making math fun for his students. The various avenues through which he does this includes his YouTube channels (Calculus Blue & Green), his books ranging from Elementary Applied Topology to Funny Little Calculus Text, his math-inspired art, his research, and so much more.
Yoram Bauman
Dr. Bauman is the world’s first and only stand-up economist who performs regularly at colleges and corporate events. He shines his comedic light on economic topics ranging from Gregory Mankiw’s 10 principles of economics to global warming. He also founded the humor session at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association. However, not only is he well-known for his shows and stage presence; he also brings in a similar friendly approach to economics in his cartoon introduction books to micro- and macro-economics, calculus, climate change, and digital ethics. He has been recognized in TIME magazine, PBS, & NPR.
